When we look at the practice of yoga, including a physical practice, we begin to notice changes In the body and mind.
Pranayama is the practice of directing your energy or life giving forces (prana) by controlling your breath. Pranayama is practiced to generate positive feelings and calm, as well as to heal, cleanse and vitalize the nerves, lungs and bloodstream.
Bandha is a way to captivate physical and subtle energy with the intention of directing it through the system. This technique is one of the first methods that establishes a desire to connect to internal consciousness.
The Energetic Body is often referred to in parts, such as: chakras, nadis, the aura, spirit, etc. During these weekend sessions, we will explore deep and practical functions of the energetic systems and how they work with pranayama and bandha from philosophy to practice that bring us different levels of experience and understanding.
We will also explore the layers of pranayama and bandha and how to use them in the teaching environment. After all, it is incredibly difficult to teach something you have not experienced.
